The Floor Test capture sheets

Ninety days, no budget, no new software: baseline nine vitals, change one thing, read the result — and send it back, especially if it is null.

What it does

A field protocol for testing the framework's own claims on a real unit. Nine team vitals are baselined, one thing is changed, and the result is read at ninety days. The estate's standing request to every reader is to run it and return the result, including a null one.

When it is used

Fifth. After go-live, for the first ninety days, and repeatable for each subsequent change.

The worksheet itself, lifted intact from that record, is stage 5 of The Instrument Deck.

Papers that bear on it

  • The 24-Hour Team — Core paper 1 of 3. Managing round-the-clock care as two teams joined by a handover produces a family of predictable failures; the unit is one organism, and its vitals can be read.
  • The Long Handover — Core paper 3 of 3. Turns the framework's own ethic on itself: five confessions the earlier papers omit, the evidence tier, and the uncosted bandwidth of the managers asked to run it.
