The AI Interaction Risk Screen and Change-Over-Time Log

Assesses how a person's AI use is functioning in their life, domain by domain, on the axis that matters: displacement or supplementation.

What it does

Risk is located in the person's trajectory, not in the technology category. The Screen asks, for each domain of a person's life, whether the system is displacing something the person did or supplementing it, and it is repeated over time through a Change-Over-Time Log rather than scored once. Version 1.1 followed structured peer review.

When it is used

Second. At first contact and at each review; its later readings are the baseline the Profile (stage 7) is read against.

The record that supplies it

The worksheet itself, lifted intact from that record, is stage 2 of The Instrument Deck.

Papers that bear on it

  • After the Machine — Applied series 6. The AI Interaction Outcome Profile: every control instruments the technology, none instruments the person. Six bipolar domains, read against the person's own baseline; three predictions registered.
  • The Mixed Shift — Core paper 2 of 3. What survives, transforms and breaks when some members of the 24-hour team do not sleep, gossip or die. Sets out the five standing rules.
